Welcome to AP World History with Mr. Falvo

This Blog Site will be your source for everything AP World History for the 2009-2010 school year! We will try to keep it up to date and please ask if you have any questions.

First Day of Block Class 8/19-8/20:

Today in Class

We discussed and took notes about Early man and the development of simple societies.  Next class we will delve into  the development of complex societies and early river valley civilizations.

Assessments

There will be a 5 question quiz from the single page handout  given to students on Tuesday. The handout covers Time periods (periodization) Themes and the Habits of Mind for AP World History. This same handout was part of the Summer assignments.

Material Reminders

1st- Please get a composition book as soon as possible. Everyone should know that we will be writing Journal entries almost every day.

2nd -You will need a 2″ Binder with 10 dividers. It is mandatory to have for this class. More details on the make-up for the binder will be  forthcoming.

Summer Assignment Reminder

For those students who DID NOT complete THE SUMMER HOMEWORK  for various reasons that we won’t go into here, a new  deadline is set for September 28th.  I know it seems like a long time, but it will come up fast, please keep that in mind. The link to the summer homework is as follows: http://www.ofalvo.com/blog/ I am also reading “Guns, Germs, and Steel” so I know how much work you have to do.

Also, please keep up with http://www.ofalvo.com
